Our pediatric staff members hold special certifications in MANY specialized techniques. We are proud to offer the following programs:
ORAL PLACEMENT/ORAL MOTOR PROGRAM
For infants and children with deficits in oral motor strength or coordination resulting in difficulties eating, drinking and/or speaking.
EARLY INTERVENTION PARENT-BASED PROGRAM
For children ages 0-3. Goal is to address any current or questionable delays in children that may impact ability to thrive in important areas of development.
TRANSDISCIPLINARY EATING PROGRAM
For infants and children with “failure to thrive”, feeding aversions, picky eating, mealtime stress, difficulty with bottle and texture transitions, poor weight gain and/or avoidance of new foods.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PROGRAM
For children with deficits in fine motor, gross motor, perceptual or motor planning skills. Focus on achievement of developmental milestones to attain success in activities of daily living.
SENSORY PROCESSING PROGRAM
Much of development and learning depends on integration of our senses. The focus of this program is on improving a child’s ability to process sensory information. Goal is to enable the nervous system to receive messages from the senses and turn them into appropriate motor and behavioral responses.
SOCIAL SKILLS PROGRAM
Focus is to teach social skills that influence a child’s intellectual, social and emotional development. Goal is to facilitate perspective taking and the development of friendships, self-esteem, family relationships, involvement in extracurricular activities and positive social experiences.
